If you’re drawing water from a bucket, jerry can, tank, river or dam, you’ll need a Smarttek water pump.
Best for buckets, jerry cans and setups where saving water is important.
When using the 4.3LPM pump, set the Smarttek water control to MIN.
Best for tanks, rivers, dams and setups where you want more flexibility with your water supply.
The 6LPM pump can be used across the Smarttek water control range, giving you more flexibility to suit your shower setup.
Both the 4.3LPM and 6LPM pumps require a suitable 12V power source.
The current Smarttek gas hose and regulator connects directly to a Type 27 / LCC27 LPG gas bottle.
We recommend connecting the Smarttek regulator directly to the gas bottle without additional adaptors or connectors, as these can affect the gas pressure supplied to the system.
The brass adaptor on the gas inlet is glued in place during manufacturing and is not designed to be removed or turned.
When connecting or disconnecting the gas hose, always use two spanners.
If bubbles appear, turn the gas off and check the connection before using your Smarttek.
Add a Smarttek Gas Quick Connect for faster connection and disconnection of your gas hose without needing spanners each time.
No. The Smarttek Black itself runs on 2 × D size batteries, which power the ignition system and keep the ignition components operating while the system is running.
You only need a 12V power source if you’re using a Smarttek water pump.
No. The Smarttek Black is designed for outdoor use only.
Always allow the required clearance around the unit so heat and exhaust gases can disperse safely.
Drain any remaining water from your Smarttek Black after use, especially before storing or travelling in colder conditions.
Water left inside the system can freeze and cause damage.
The Smarttek Black Hot Water System comes with a 2 year manufacturer’s warranty.
Smarttek accessories are covered for 12 months.

Turn the water on and off directly from the shower rose, with two spray patterns to suit your shower. Pause the water while soaping up, then turn it back on when you’re ready.
Fine tune your shower temperature using the separate gas and water controls to suit the conditions and your water setup.
Automatically shuts off the gas supply if the water temperature gets too high, helping reduce the risk of scalding.
If the Smarttek Black tilts or falls during operation, the safety system automatically shuts off the gas supply.
